Habitualmente envoltos em formato Mp3 transportam novidades para audições atentas. Sejam “estas” bandas/ albúns/ compilações/ B-sides/ raridades… registos do ano, do anterior, ou mesmo de outros.
A qualidade está geralmente assegurada dado que o fornecedor cumpre, mediante as directivas vigentes, com todas as normas requeridas.
Embora ainda em estado de audição, revelam-se aqui alguns:
Psychonauts – "Songs For Creatures" 2003
“Songs For Creatures is a massive step forward for the production duo of Paul Mogg and Pablo Clements. Retaining few of the elements present in their previous incarnation, this album is a heady mix of dubby, atmospheric workouts, expertly constructed house-tinged beats, and an assortment of guest vocalists that add many new layers never before hinted at.
“On "Life’s Swift Charger," Chancer adds a beautiful vocal reminiscent of Underworld and Doves over a synth-y backdrop. Former Beta Band James Yorkston’s rambling verses on "Hips For Scotland" offer the album’s finest moments with string swells and guitar strumming that lead into an jammy opening that recalls the best moments on Beta Band's The Three EPs LP.”
A maior valia deste albúm são as faixas com colaborações vocais inseridas e apuradas, pena é que sejam apenas 5 em 11.
Scissor Sisters - “Scissor Sisters” 2004
Oriundos de Brooklyn, Nova York, da vaga pós-electroclash, assumem influências de nomes como Bowie / Roxy Music / Bee Gees/ Bryan Ferry/ Elton John / Giorgio Moroder, de teatro burlesco e de opera rock. A mistura parece excessiva mas resulta coerente.
“Scissor Sisters bring together rollicking guitar riffs, throbbing synths and a whole bunch of wicked lyrics. Sometimes, it sounds like they're partying hard on cheap champagne; at other points, the moods are downtempo and beautifully, surprisingly wistful: radio-friendly soundtracks for the morning after.”
“Their music has even been used as a soundtrack to fashion shows in Milan and New York by Balenciaga and Vivienne Westwood.”
Nomes como Zita Swoon ou Beck, dependendo da opção da linha evolutiva, poderiam fazer algo semelhante. Se bem que, dada a repetição das linhas de programação rítmica que os SS usam, seria limitado demais.
NdR: As transcrições efectuadas, depois da pesquisa feita, revelam alguma cumplicidade.
